The School Board has representation from the parents, Parish, staff and P & F, signifying the partnership between Parish, school and community. St James School Board operates in accordance with guidelines set by SACCS or the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools.
The main functions of the Board are:
The Board meets each month (usually twice a term). Elections and the presentation of reports occur at the Annual General Meeting held in March. All parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
Each Board member is allocated a group of families and will act as a “buddy” for that group. Parents are encouraged to contact their “Board Buddy” with any questions relating to the Board’s areas of responsibility as outlined above.
With the Principal, the School Board coordinates regular working bees.

Working Bees are coordinated by the School Board and are generally held on the Sunday before the start of term, giving working parents a chance to lend a hand. To distribute the work load fairly each class is rostered once a year. However all parents are welcome to attend any of our Working Bees.
If you are unable to attend a Working Bee you may be able to do some jobs at another time. Please just let Evan or your Board Buddy know.
