Learning & Teaching
We believe that children learn best when they are happy, well, valued and engaged. Teachers develop relationships with students first and foremost that demonstrate care for each child. Through various roles and activities and general interactions we get to know students and their families. Really knowing the child is essential.
Our teaching styles accommodate the levels of wellbeing and learning in students and also their varying learning styles. In the early years teachers offer play-based learning experiences through Investigation times. This develops through middle and upper primary where students are engaged in interest-based research projects that are linked to curriculum areas. These experiences complement explicit teaching of all curriculum areas.
In the classrooms you will see a variety of colourful learning environments that are welcoming, engaging and comfortable for students.
